Aneasthesia and Pain Management

The department of Anesthesia forms part of the theatre unit of the hospital. The department provides anesthesia services for all surgical procedures to all categories of clients such as Obstetrics, Gynecology, Eye, Ear nose and throat, Dental, Urology etc.

The anesthesia department has five functional Anesthesia machines and five cardiac monitors for the five operating rooms. The Theatre has five completely functional Operating Rooms, four in the Main Theatre one in the Obstetric Theatre unit.

Routine Activities
We provide adequate pre-anesthesia evaluation (at anesthesia clinic and the theatre hold up area) to assess the fitness status or otherwise of the patient prior to anesthesia care for both elective and emergency cases.

Select the most appropriate form of anesthesia suitable for the patient and procedure that minimizes intraoperative anaesthesia related complication.

To identify high risk patients prior to anaesthesia administration.

The department provides safe anaesthesia care to all clients equally devoid of age. race, gender, religion or ethnicity etc.
